Who here has ever heard of a chicken tractor? That’s our topic for this weeks fun fact Friday!

Believe it or not there is such a thing, but it works a little different than a normal tractor. The purpose of a chicken tractor is to graze the birds while protecting them from predators. It has a “tin roof” on one side for shade and weather protection and chicken wire on the other side for sun access. Jordan built one this year and the chickens love it! It gives them the ability to pick and choose their meals based on their own particular preferences. By moving the tractor every day they always have plenty to choose from. Makes for some healthy happy chickens!
